HEELING

Prerequisite:   Completion of Sub-Novice at LRDTC and permission of the instructor.

The foundation for all obedience is attention and heeling.  The focus of the Heeling class is to perfect that dance, to develop true teamwork to showcase your dog’s strength.   The handler will work on footwork, heeling pace/rhythm, consistency, and energy.  Emphasis will be on the dog’s attention and consistency in heel position.  This class is normally taken for two sessions only.

A dog heeling with energy, motivation and attitude is a beautiful thing!  A team performing off-leash heelwork to perfection is the epitome of obedience competition.
